Hexwraith Flame is a translucent, yellow-green Contrast paint named after Hexwraiths - the spectral cavalry of the Nighthaunt faction in Age of Sigmar. Unlike most Contrast paints, Hexwraith Flame is specifically designed to produce a glowing, ghostly fire effect: applied over a white or light primer, it creates the bright, eerie green-yellow luminescence associated with Nighthaunt spectral light and undead magical flames.
The paint's primary application is across Nighthaunt models to add ghostly flame glow - on chains, lanterns, candles, fire effects, and the spectral flame-trails that define the faction's supernatural character. It works differently from other Contrast paints in that its transparency and intense colour make it particularly effective for OSL (object source lighting) techniques: applied in thin coats around a light source, it creates the impression of green-yellow light radiating outward. The colour is also used on Sylvaneth spirits, Nighthaunt Chainrasps and Bladegheist Revenants, Ossiarch Bonereapers construct eye sockets, and any model with magical or necromantic fire effects. Multiple thin coats build intensity in localised areas.
