Product Description

The Citadel Colour Painting Handle is a grip tool that attaches to the base rim of a Warhammer miniature while painting, allowing the painter to hold the handle rather than the model itself. Holding a model directly while painting transfers body heat and natural oils from the skin to the painted surface, which can prevent paint from adhering cleanly and leaves fingerprint impressions in freshly applied coats. The Painting Handle eliminates this by providing a secure, ergonomic grip point separate from the model.

The handle uses a spring-loaded grip mechanism that clamps to standard round bases up to 40mm, holding the model securely without the need for any adhesive. Painters working through long sessions - basecoating and shading whole squads, applying multiple highlight layers on a single character model - find the handle significantly reduces hand fatigue compared to holding the bare base between thumb and forefinger. The handle is also compatible with the Citadel Citadel Colour paint system and pairs naturally with the Painting Handle XL for larger bases and the Spray Stick for priming. A single handle can be reused across an entire model collection.
