Citadel Layer Evil Sunz Scarlet is a bright, vivid mid-red named for the Evil Sunz Ork clan - the fastest, most speed-obsessed Orks, who paint everything red on the basis that red makes things go faster. It is one of the most useful reds in the Citadel range: the standard mid-tone highlight for red armour applied after Khorne Red or Mephiston Red base coats and a Nuln Oil or Agrax Earthshade wash.

Apply to raised armour panels and prominent edges on Blood Angels, World Eaters, red Chaos armour and Ork vehicles after washing, working up the vivid red tone from the darker recesses. Finish with Wild Rider Red at the sharpest highlights for a three-stage red scheme. Also works for red fabric, banners, and cloth on any army where red is a significant colour. The clean, vivid quality is the defining character of a well-painted red scheme.
