Citadel Technical Ardcoat is a clear gloss varnish for small areas that need a shiny or wet-looking finish. It is most often used as a spot effect rather than as an all-over protective varnish.

Apply it after the paint underneath is fully dry, using a clean brush and a controlled amount. It can help lenses, gems, screens, eyes, slime, blood effects and polished details catch the light more strongly.

For overall model protection, use a varnish intended for that job. Ardcoat is better kept for selected glossy details where a matt finish would look too flat.
