Citadel Dry Ryza Rust is a vivid orange-rust drybrush paint - the second stage in the GW rust recipe, applied over Typhus Corrosion texture paint to add orange rust highlights that read as active surface oxidation. The bright orange tone suggests recent or ongoing corrosion rather than ancient ingrained rust, giving a still-happening quality to weathered metal effects.
Apply directly onto dried Typhus Corrosion with a drybrush, depositing orange on the highest textured points of the Corrosion surface. The combination immediately reads as convincing surface rust. Works on vehicle weathering, weapon blades, metal-corroded armour panels and any model element that should appear battle-worn and poorly maintained. The technique is equally effective on terrain and Chaos machinery.
The essential companion to Typhus Corrosion in the GW rust recipe. Typhus Corrosion first, then drybrush Ryza Rust - the most used two-step weathering combination in the hobby.
