Citadel Base Screaming Bell is a dark, warm copper-brown - a metallic base paint with an aged, muted quality rather than the shine of bright metallics. It captures the colour of corroded copper and tarnished bronze, and is named for the Skaven Screaming Bell - a piece of Skaven machinery where corroded bronze and tarnished metal are entirely appropriate.
Apply as the metallic base for ancient copper and bronze armour that should read as corroded and aged rather than polished. Works on Chaos armour in bronze schemes, daemon engine mechanical elements in a dark, pitted bronze, and Skaven machinery where the patina of neglect and disease improves rather than diminishes the appearance. Pairs with Nihilakh Oxide verdigris effects and Typhus Corrosion for a complete aged metal finish.
