Citadel Base Mephiston Red is the standard red in the Citadel range - named for the Chief Librarian of the Blood Angels, it provides the vivid, primary red that is the base for Blood Angels, Flesh Tearers, Red Scorpions and all the red Space Marine chapters. Strong covering power in a single coat over primer and a clean, true red that doesn't lean too orange or too dark.
Apply as the primary armour base coat for Blood Angels, Blood-tide Chaos Warriors and any model in a pure red scheme. Works for vehicle panels, weapons and any surface that should read as a strong, clean red before shading with Agrax Earthshade or Druchi Violet and highlighting with Evil Sunz Scarlet and Wild Rider Red.
