Citadel Base Leadbelcher is a metallic Base paint from Games Workshop - a cool silver metallic that provides the standard starting point for metal armour, gun barrels, blades and mechanical components across virtually every Warhammer faction. Leadbelcher is GW's most widely used silver Base paint, providing strong metallic coverage in a single coat over black primer and serving as the first stage in the standard Citadel metal-painting recipe before washing with Nuln Oil and dry-brushing with Ironbreaker. Named for the Leadbelchers, the Ogor Mawtribes cannon-armed infantry.

Use as the base coat for Space Marine bolter casings and chainmail, for Chaos Space Marine metallic armour panels, for Stormcast Eternal weapon blades and armour trim, for Ork Shoota and Choppa metal detail, for Necron Warrior chassis, for vehicle exhausts and machinery across all factions, and for any surface that should read as raw machined steel or unpainted metal. Follow with Nuln Oil shade, then drybrush with Ironbreaker and pick out sharp edges with Stormhost Silver for the standard GW boltgun metal recipe. One of the most-used paints in any GW painter's collection regardless of army.
