Product Description

Citadel Base Celestra Grey is a Base paint from Games Workshop - a pale, warm grey that forms the foundation for white armour and light grey colour schemes in the Citadel painting system. Named after the Celestar Ballista Stormcast Eternals artillery piece, Celestra Grey occupies the lightest grey tier of Base paints - the starting point from which white is built through progressive lighter coats, avoiding the chalky, flat coverage problem that results from applying white directly. It provides near-total opacity in one coat and highlights cleanly to white without pulling warm or cool.

Use as the base coat for white Space Marine armour (Deathwatch, White Scars, Space Wolves white detail, all-white battle-brother schemes), for Stormcast Eternal white cloaks and fabric panels, for Nagash Supreme Lord of the Undead bone and shroud detail in pale grey-white, for Grey Knights strike squad armour in the very lightest silver-white schemes, and wherever white is the target end colour but requires a grey foundation for smooth, even coverage before final highlighting with Ulthuan Grey and White Scar. One of the most frequently used Base paints for multi-faction collections. Apply over grey or white primer for fastest coverage.
