Citadel Technical Nihilakh Oxide is the verdigris Technical paint - a transparent blue-green fluid that settles into metal surfaces and creates the patina of oxidised copper and bronze. Applied over Castellax Bronze or Balthasar Gold, it immediately transforms the metallic into aged, weather-corroded metal with centuries of exposure.
Apply over any copper or bronze metallic with a brush, letting it pool into recesses naturally. Wipe or dry brush the raised metal surfaces back to metallic after it dries to leave the verdigris only in the deepest areas. Works on Necron metal details for an archaic, tomb-world feel, on Chaos armour and daemon engines for corruption effects, and on any model with aged copper or bronze elements including terrain.
One of the most satisfying Technical paints to apply - the verdigris effect is immediate and dramatic over the right metallic base. Nihilakh Oxide on Castellax Bronze is one of GW's own recommended standard finishes.
