Product Description

Necron Ophydian Destroyers are a sub-variety of the Destroyer caste who have modified their body to include serpentine locomotion segments alongside their standard anti-gravity drives - allowing them to burrow through the ground and emerge directly behind enemy lines. This plastic kit assembles three Ophydian Destroyers with their characteristic lower-body serpent segments, each armed with a hyperphase reap-blade or excarnator melee weapon for brutal close-combat attacks. The models can be posed mid-burrowing or fully emerged for variety.

On the tabletop Ophydian Destroyers deep strike via burrowing, arriving behind enemy lines in the assault phase to deliver their hyperphase blades against tightly-packed infantry or lightly armoured vehicles. Their arrival mid-game forces the opponent to split attention between the phalanx and the newly-arrived flanking threat.

Supplied on 50mm Citadel oval bases. Three miniatures per kit. Requires assembly and painting.
