Darkstar Silver is a clean, bright silver metallic acrylic from the Darkstar Paints range - a pure, high-chroma silver with strong reflective quality and good coverage in a single thin coat. It sits in the cool, neutral register of the Darkstar silver palette, without the warmth of pewter or the blue-shift of blue steel, making it the most versatile and widely applicable silver in the range.
Use as the primary metallic for sword blades, bolter casings, power armour trim and any weapon or armour surface where a clean, bright silver reading is the goal. Also works as the top highlight over darker metallic base coats across the Darkstar range - applied as a fine edge highlight over Pewter or Steel to bring up the brightest raised points. Pairs well with Darkstar washes for quick tonal variation across silver surfaces.
