Last updated: 16 April 2026
This Refund Policy explains how Buzz Paints handles cancellations, returns, exchanges and refunds for orders placed through www.buzzpaints.com. It is intended to reflect our normal returns process alongside your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
Consumer Cancellation Rights
If you are a consumer buying online, you generally have the right to cancel most standard orders within 14 calendar days from the day after you receive the goods. To exercise that right, you must tell us clearly within that period that you want to cancel or return the order.
How to Start a Return
To start a return, email sales@buzzpaints.com with your order number, the items you want to return, and the reason for the return. We may also ask for photographs where an item is damaged, faulty, incorrect, or the parcel arrived in poor condition. Returning goods without enough identifying information can delay processing.
Condition of Returned Goods
For a standard change-of-mind return, goods should be unused and returned in the same condition you received them, with original packaging and all components where reasonably possible. You may inspect goods as you would in a shop, but we may reduce a refund where handling goes beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.
Return Window
Once you have notified us within the cancellation period, goods should be sent back without undue delay. If we give you return instructions, please follow them carefully and package the items securely for transit.
Return Postage Costs
Unless the item is faulty, damaged, misdescribed, or sent in error, the customer is responsible for return postage costs. We strongly recommend using a tracked delivery service and keeping proof of postage, because returned goods remain your responsibility until they are received back by us.
Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, incomplete, or not as ordered, contact sales@buzzpaints.com as soon as possible with your order number and supporting photos where relevant. Where goods do not conform to contract, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 remain fully protected and we will work with you on an appropriate remedy, which may include replacement, repair, refund, or another suitable resolution.
Non-Returnable or Exempt Items
We may refuse or limit returns where goods fall into a category excluded from cancellation rights under UK law, including personalised or bespoke items, or where goods have been materially used, altered, or damaged after delivery in a way that prevents resale. This does not affect your rights where goods are faulty or misdescribed.
Inspection and Refund Timing
Once returned goods arrive back with us, please allow up to 14 days for inspection and refund processing. If the return is approved, the refund will be made to the original payment method unless we agree otherwise. Banks, card issuers, and payment providers may take additional time to show the refunded amount in your account.
Original Delivery Charges
Where you cancel a qualifying consumer order within the legal cancellation period, we will refund the basic outbound delivery charge you paid, but we do not refund any premium delivery surcharge beyond our standard delivery option except where required by law.
Partial Returns
If only part of an order is returned, any refund will relate only to the returned item or items, subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the order.
Exchanges
We do not guarantee direct exchanges in every case. In most situations, the fastest route is for the original item to be returned and, where appropriate, for a replacement order to be placed separately.
Contact and Support
For return and refund queries, contact sales@buzzpaints.com and include your order number. Clear, early contact helps us resolve issues faster.
Your Statutory Rights
This policy is in addition to, and does not limit or exclude, your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law.
