Dirty Down Yellow Rust Effect is a specialist weathering product companion to the standard Dirty Down Rust - a yellow-toned variant of the rust formula that produces the older, more oxidised rust tone seen when iron corrosion progresses past fresh orange-red into the yellower, more mineral quality of deeply aged rust. It works on its own or layered with the standard rust product for multi-stage rust weathering effects.
Use alone for the pale, dried rust of abandoned equipment left undisturbed for years, for the dust-dry rust of vehicles in arid environments where rust desiccates and lightens, and for historical vehicle weathering on desert campaign subjects. Use in combination with standard Dirty Down Rust for a two-stage rust progression - apply Yellow Rust first for the older, underlying oxidation, then standard Rust over the top in thicker patches for fresh rust highlights. Works on any surface as the standard Dirty Down Rust does - brush or airbrush application, plastic, resin, metal and foam equally.
