Product Description

The Astra Militarum Commissar is the political officer attached to Imperial Guard regiments - a feared disciplinarian who maintains combat morale through a combination of inspirational leadership and the immediate execution of cowardice. This plastic kit assembles a single Commissar with bolt pistol and power sword, in the long coat, peaked cap, and epaulettes that have defined the Commissar visual identity since Rogue Trader. Multiple head options allow a choice between helmeted and bare-headed variants.

On the tabletop the Commissar's Summary Execution ability prevents nearby Infantry units from failing morale tests by eliminating the guilty party and restoring unit cohesion - a powerful morale-management tool that keeps Infantry squads on objectives even when heavily reduced by enemy fire.
