Citadel Base Corax White is the bright white base paint in the Citadel range - named for Corvus Corax, Primarch of the Raven Guard, though the white makes more sense as the primer for Contrast paints than for the black Raven Guard. It's specifically formulated as the light base coat that makes Contrast paints work optimally, giving them the light surface they need to produce their characteristic shading effect.
Apply over grey or white primer before using Contrast paints - Corax White gives Contrast paints the most vivid, cleanest colour result. Also works as the base for any model that needs a bright, opaque white before layering white schemes - White Scars, Sisters of Silence, white armour models and anything where multiple thin white coats over grey primer would be replaced by a single Corax White application.
The recommended white base for Contrast paint schemes. One coat before applying Contrast colours makes a significant difference to the final result quality.
