Citadel Base Grey Seer is a light, neutral grey - the lighter of the two recommended Contrast paint primers, sitting between Corax White and mid-grey. Contrast paints applied over Grey Seer produce slightly more muted, shadowed results than over Corax White, making it the better choice for colours that shouldn't be too vivid or for models where a slightly more naturalistic finish is preferred over the maximum saturation that Corax White produces.
Apply over grey or white primer as the base coat before Contrast paints. Grey Seer gives Contrast paints a slightly darker, more controlled result - better for skin tones, dark leather and any Contrast colour where the white base version looks too vivid or cartoon-like. Also works as a pale grey base for models that need a neutral light grey before layering rather than Contrast paint application.
The subtler Contrast base alternative to Corax White. Test both to determine which gives the correct result for your specific Contrast colours.
