Citadel Base Iron Hands Steel is a bright silver base paint - lighter than Leadbelcher but with a metallic sheen that covers well over dark primer in a single coat. It's named for the Iron Hands chapter and calibrated for their gunmetal-silver armour scheme, but broadly useful as a bright metallic base wherever high-shine silver is the primary armour or weapon colour.
Apply as the primary silver base coat for Iron Hands Space Marines, Necron models in a cleaner silver interpretation before Nuln Oil washing, and any metal armour where the finished result should be a bright, clean silver rather than the darker gunmetal of Leadbelcher. Also works as a metallic basecoat for vehicles in silver or chrome schemes, and as the mid-highlight metallic over Leadbelcher before Runefang Steel highlights.
A bright silver that gives better first-coat coverage than standard metallics on large flat areas. Pairs with Nuln Oil wash and Necron Compound drybrush for a complete metallic workflow.
