Citadel Base Ratskin Flesh is a Base paint from Games Workshop - a warm, orange-toned skin colour that functions as the second stage in the Citadel standard skin-tone recipe for human flesh, applied after a Bugman's Glow base coat. Named for the Ratskins, the tribal underhive gang of Necromunda, Ratskin Flesh is a step lighter and warmer than Bugman's Glow, building the mid-tone for human skin before final highlights with Cadian Fleshtone and Kislev Flesh. It can also serve as the primary base coat for warmer, more tanned skin tones on its own.

Use as the mid-tone in the standard Citadel human skin recipe (Bugman's Glow → Ratskin Flesh → Cadian Fleshtone → Kislev Flesh highlights), as a single base coat for character models with naturally warm or sun-darkened skin, for Astra Militarum infantry face and hand detail across desert and jungle regiment models where a warmer skin than the cooler Cadian Fleshtone suits the cultural reference, and for any human or near-human model where the skin should read as warm or tan rather than pale or cool. Applies directly over black or grey primer.
