Product Description

The Black Templars Emperor's Champion is a unique character exclusive to the Black Templars Chapter, representing the warrior chosen before each battle to take up the sacred Black Sword and vow to seek out and destroy the enemy's greatest champions. This multi-part plastic kit depicts the Champion mid-stride, wielding the enormous two-handed Black Sword and bearing a bolt pistol at his hip. The jet-black armour is covered in gold-edged scripture scrolls, purity seals, and sacred oath papers, and the sculpt captures the solemnity of a warrior who has accepted a vow that may only end in death or total victory.

On the tabletop the Emperor's Champion is a dedicated melee specialist who excels at eliminating enemy characters and multi-wound models. His unique oath mechanic allows re-rolls against a nominated enemy unit for the duration of the battle, making him a reliable scalpel against opposing centrepiece models or dangerous elite infantry.

Supplied with a 40mm Citadel round base. Requires assembly and painting.
