Product Description

The Citadel Colour Painting Handle XL is the larger version of the standard Painting Handle, designed to grip the wider bases used on large Warhammer miniatures - including 60mm, 80mm, and larger oval bases common on monster models, cavalry, and large character miniatures. The XL handle clamps to the base rim using a spring-loaded grip mechanism, allowing the painter to hold the handle rather than the model itself during painting sessions.

Large model painting presents a particular handling challenge - monsters, Greater Daemons, superheavy vehicles, and multi-part display miniatures require painting time measured in hours, and holding a large, heavy model by its base for extended periods causes hand fatigue that affects brushwork precision. The XL Painting Handle provides a stable grip point for the full duration of a large model painting session. The wider grip aperture of the XL accommodates the range of large and oval bases that the standard Painting Handle cannot fit, making it the correct tool for Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar monster kits and character centrepiece models. Pairs with the standard Painting Handle for complete coverage across all base sizes in a collection.
