The Verdia Veldt colour sits in the warm green-to-gold spectrum associated with dry grassland, African savanna, and late-summer heath environments - a useful contrast colour to the dark grey stone and rust-brown earth textures commonly used on Warhammer bases. Seraphon forces placed on jungle or savanna bases, Astra Militarum regiments on arid terrain, Daughters of Khaine on natural grassland settings, and custom terrain boards and gaming tables all benefit from the Verdia Veldt tone. Tufts are applied in the final stages of basing after texture paint, wash, and dry-brush steps - they add height variation and natural texture that flat texture paints alone cannot replicate.
