Darkstar Bright Steel is a polished, highly reflective steel metallic acrylic - noticeably brighter and more mirror-quality than standard Darkstar Steel, positioned for use as the upper highlight stage rather than the base coat in a multi-stage metallic approach. The brightness is similar to Platinum but with a slightly warmer, more steel-like tone rather than the cold precious-metal quality of pure platinum.
Use as the top highlight stage over Darkstar Steel or Pewter base coats - applied to the most prominent raised edges and points of armour plate, blade edges and mechanical fittings. Particularly effective on heavily armoured armies where polished plate should read as reflective and imposing: Adeptus Custodes, Stormcast Eternals in silver armour, and silver-scheme Space Marines. Also works on vehicle panels as the final scratch-highlight to suggest polished metal catching direct light.
