Darkstar Midnight Shroud Wash is a cool, dark blue-black shade wash from the Darkstar Paints range - a wash designed to shade cool-toned metallics and steel surfaces with a cold shadow that reinforces the clinical, alien or nocturnal character of the base paint rather than warming it with the brown tones of the Dickensian Shadow Wash. The midnight quality gives recesses a deep, cold darkness suited to specific applications.
Apply over Darkstar Silver, Blue Steel, Platinum or any cool-toned metallic where cold, deep recesses are the goal - Necron construct surfaces, T'au Battlesuit armour, Night Lords and Raven Guard Space Marine metallic details, and any army where shadow in the metalwork should read as cold and mechanically precise rather than warm and organic. Also works on white and pale grey areas adjacent to metallics where a cool, shadowy tint in the shade suits the overall palette.
