Apply in the standard triad approach - dark in recesses, mid tone on the main metallic surface, light on the sharpest raised edges and points. Metal Triad #2 is suited to applications where the specific tonal quality of this triad better matches the surrounding palette than Triad #1 - whether fractionally cooler, warmer, darker or brighter. Useful for Necron armies where the metallic should have a slightly different character than standard Space Marine steel, or for historical ranges where a specific period quality in the silver metallic matters.
