The Death Guard Lord of Virulence is a Death Guard command character - a Chaos Lord variant who has dedicated himself to Nurgle's more aggressive plague gifts, carrying a twin blight launchers as a primary weapon alongside the command abilities of a senior Death Guard officer. This plastic kit assembles a single Lord of Virulence with his characteristic twin blight launchers strapped to his arm, in the bulky corroded power armour of a Death Guard champion who combines personal firepower with command authority.

On the tabletop the Lord of Virulence provides command auras to nearby Death Guard units while contributing his own blight launcher shooting - a combined HQ and fire support unit that benefits armies wanting command coverage without sacrificing shooting output from the HQ slot.
