The Horus Heresy Solar Auxilia Hermes Sentinel Squadron provides the Solar Auxilia with fast-moving reconnaissance walkers capable of scouting ahead of the main force and engaging light opposition. Each Hermes Sentinel is a bipedal walker armed with appropriate scouting weapons, and Solar Auxilia pilots are trained to operate in hostile environments that would prevent standard vehicle crews from functioning. Deployed in squadrons of multiple walkers, they provide reconnaissance, flank screening and light fire support ahead of the Dracosan-borne main force.
