Citadel Layer Kislev Flesh is a warm, pale flesh named for the nation of Kislev - the bleak, northern realm of fur-clad warriors in the Old World. It is the standard highlight tone over Cadian Fleshtone in the core human skin workflow, applied after washing with Reikland Fleshshade to the raised areas of faces, hands and exposed skin where the light naturally falls, before adding Pallid Wych Flesh for the very highest highlights.

Apply to the raised areas of human faces - cheeks, nose bridge, brow ridge and chin - and to the backs of hands on Astra Militarum infantry, Space Marine faces, Stormcast mortal allies, and any human or humanoid figure after completing the base coat and wash stage. The warm tone maintains the healthy quality of skin as it lightens, avoiding the grey or flat result that comes from using too cool or neutral a highlight colour.
