Citadel Layer Tau Light Ochre is a warm, yellow-ochre named for the T'au Empire - the technologically advanced alien faction whose sept colours use ochre-yellow as a key secondary tone in many of their more vivid colour schemes. It sits in the warm yellow-ochre range, distinct from the purer yellows and the tans of the brown family, making it useful for T'au armour highlighting and as a general warm ochre for earthy, warm-toned models.

Apply over Zandri Dust or Averland Sunset on T'au armour in ochre-based sept schemes - Vior'la and Dal'yth sept schemes in particular use ochre tones for armour accents - and on T'au vehicle highlighting. Works for parchment and scroll highlights, for the warm yellow-ochre of aged vellum, and for the warm earth tones of arid rock and sun-dried clay on scenic bases. Also suits the warm brown-yellow of animal hide and tan leather.
