Citadel Layer Xereus Purple is a dark, rich purple - a deep, slightly blue-tinged purple that sits between the near-black Naggaroth Night and the vivid Kakophoni Purple in the purple hierarchy. It provides a dark mid-tone for purple armour schemes, functioning as the layer that builds depth after a very dark base coat before adding brighter highlights, and as a standalone deep purple for any model where a rich, noble purple should have gravity without being vivid.

Apply over Naggaroth Night or Abaddon Black on Drukhari Archon robes and armour in dark purple schemes, on Tzeentch Chaos Space Marines in purple-tinged colour schemes, and on any Age of Sigmar model where deep, saturated purple cloth or armour is required. Works for the robes of Necromancers and Sorcerers in Age of Sigmar, for Vampire Lord cloaks, and as a shadow mid-tone on lighter purple armour schemes before Kakophoni Purple highlights.
