Citadel Layer Zamesi Desert is a warm, sandy tan named for the Zamesi Desert of the Old World - a vast, sun-blasted expanse associated with ancient civilisations and the parched bones of the dead. It occupies a warm, pale tan position in the Layer range, sitting between Tallarn Sand and the paler Karak Stone, and functioning as a highlight for desert vehicle schemes, sandy terrain, and warm pale leather and earth tones across many armies.

Apply over Zandri Dust or Steel Legion Drab on Astra Militarum desert vehicles in sandy yellow-tan, on Death Korps of Krieg field equipment, and on desert terrain rubble and dust effects. Works for sandy basing material highlights over Stirland Mud or texture paint, for pale leather highlights on equipment and armour straps, and as a warm stone colour on masonry and carved ruins. The warm tone suits arid, sun-baked environments better than cool grey stone tones.
