Yellow armour is among the most technically demanding to shade because standard brown shades read as dirty rather than naturally shadowed when applied over yellow. Casandora Yellow addresses this by staying in the yellow-amber spectrum - applied over a Bad Moon Yellow or Flash Gitz Yellow basecoat on Imperial Fists or Bad Moon Ork armour, it shades the recesses while keeping the overall colour reading as yellow rather than muddy brown. The shade also enriches gold and brass metallics: applied over Retributor Armour or similar gold basecoats, Casandora Yellow deepens the gold toward an antique amber tone. Skin tones with a warm, sun-tanned quality benefit from the shade applied selectively in recesses to create depth without making the skin look grey or blue-shadowed.
