Druchii Violet is a purple shade wash from the Citadel range, named after the Druchii - the Aelven people known in the World-That-Was as the Dark Elves. Applied over a dried basecoat, it flows into recesses and surface detail, leaving a translucent purple shadow that enriches pink, red, and purple colour schemes with depth and richness from a single step.
The shade's natural home is on any model where a purple shadow is visually appropriate. Hedonites of Slaanesh in pink and purple schemes use Druchii Violet as the standard shade step, applied over pink or light purple basecoats to create depth in robe folds, armour gaps, and facial recesses. Daughters of Khaine models in dark red and purple schemes benefit from the violet shadow giving their skin a supernatural, blood-tinged quality. Used on pale or white skin as an alternative to a grey or brown shade, Druchii Violet creates an unsettling, slightly undead skin tone useful for Nighthaunt, Flesh-eater Courts, and vampiric models. The shade also enriches purple gems and jewels and gives purple robes an aristocratic depth that brown shades cannot replicate.
