Targor Rageshade is a dark, brownish-red shade wash from the Citadel range. Applied over a dried basecoat, it flows into recesses and surface detail, leaving a deep red-brown shadow that warms and deepens red, brown, and dark armour colour schemes with a slightly rust-tinged, battle-worn quality that sits between a pure red and a standard brown shade.
The shade works on red armour where a brown-shadow approach muddies the red and a pure red shade is too vivid - Targor Rageshade sits in between, providing a dark, warm shadow that keeps the overall colour firmly in the warm-red range. Blood Angels, Flesh Tearers, and other red Chapter Space Marines can use Targor Rageshade for a warmer, more organic red shadow than Nuln Oil's neutral black. Ork armour in rust and red-brown schemes, Khorne-aligned models whose brass and red combination benefits from a rust-toned shadow, dark leather and aged hide, and any brown or dark red surface that should read as worn or blood-stained responds well to the shade. Applied over iron and steel metallics it simulates rust and surface oxidation, providing a targeted weathering glaze without requiring a dedicated rust paint.
