The Citadel Synthetic Base Brush (X-Large) is the largest synthetic-bristle brush in the Citadel Base brush range, designed for the fastest possible coverage of the biggest surfaces in the hobby - large terrain pieces, superheavy vehicle hulls, display board floors and walls, and any project where brush size is the limiting factor in base coating speed. Synthetic bristles handle Citadel Base paint consistency without deterioration, and the extra-large head carries enough paint per load to cover significant surface area in a single stroke.

Use to base coat foam terrain boards and scenery pieces before drybrushing and detailing, to apply the first coat of colour to Warhammer Siege fortification and castle wall sections, for rapidly covering the hull of apocalypse-scale vehicles like the Baneblade before moving to smaller brushes for detail work, and for any project where a professional-speed base coat pass on a large surface saves significant time in the overall painting workflow.
