Product Description

The Citadel Synthetic Drybrush in Small size is a short-bristled drybrushing brush for Warhammer miniature painters. Drybrushing is the technique of loading a brush lightly with paint, removing most of it on a paper towel, and then dragging the near-dry brush across raised surfaces of a model - the tiny amount of remaining paint catches on edges, texture, and raised detail to create the impression of highlighted surfaces and worn edges without blending.

The Small size suits individual infantry models and single miniatures where the drybrush needs to be controlled enough to catch raised armour edges, fur texture, stone, and scale detail without picking up recesses. It is particularly useful on detailed Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar infantry, where the scale of individual models calls for a smaller brush than would be appropriate for large monsters or terrain. Dry-brushing with Citadel Dry paints over a basecoated model is one of the fastest ways to add highlight depth at tabletop speed, and the Small Drybrush works in tandem with those paints. The synthetic bristles are specifically suited to the stiff dragging action of drybrushing without degrading quickly under the technique.
