T'au Empire Darkstrider is a named Fire Caste Scout - a legendary pathfinder-type warrior who operates well ahead of the main force in conditions that would kill standard infantry, providing target intelligence and disrupting enemy formations before the main attack advances. This plastic kit assembles a single Darkstrider with a pulse carbine, structural analyser, and the light equipment configuration of a scout specialist. His posing conveys the careful, observational role of an advance pathfinder rather than the static shooting stance of standard Fire Warriors.

On the tabletop Darkstrider improves the armour piercing of nearby Pathfinder Team shooting and can degrade a target unit's toughness characteristic for a single turn, making him a natural force multiplier in armies that rely on Pathfinder Markerlights and pulse weapons against well-armoured targets.
