Citadel Technical Martian Ironcrust is a texture paste that replicates the cracked, iron-oxide surface of Martian soil - a rust-red, cracked earth effect that immediately reads as alien landscape, Adeptus Mechanicus deployment ground or the industrial wastelands of the 41st Millennium. Distinct from the grey of Astrogranite and the sand-tan of desert pastes.
Apply with a palette knife or stiff brush to model bases. The rust-red base colour makes subsequent drybrushing faster - Skrag Brown, Tau Light Ochre and a final Kislev Flesh highlight give a complete Martian surface in three dry brush passes over the dried paste. Works perfectly for Adeptus Mechanicus and Mars-based Imperial forces where terrain consistency matters.
