Citadel Technical Spiritstone Red is a transparent jewel-effect Technical paint - applied over silver metallic, it creates a convincing red gemstone effect with the characteristic pooling and depth of a Darkstar Gemstone Tone in a single application. Part of the GW gemstone Technical series alongside Soulstone Blue and Waystone Green.
Apply a drop to lens areas, gems and crystal details on models - Blood Angels red eye lenses, ruby gems on Aeldari armour, red indicator lights on vehicles and the various red gem details across multiple factions. Let it pool naturally. A small dot of 'Ardcoat at the centre of the wet paint increases the sparkle effect. The transparent red deepens as it pools, giving inherent variation that mimics a real cut stone.
