Citadel Technical Stormshield is a matt varnish in the Citadel Technical range. It gives painted models a clear, flat finish and can reduce unwanted gloss from shiny effects when applied carefully. Applied over a finished model, it helps unify the surface sheen to a consistent matte.
Apply as a final coat over a completed model where a flatter finish is wanted. It can be used around 'Ardcoat spots to reduce gloss in areas that should not be shiny, while leaving jewel effects intact if you avoid brushing over them. Spray varnish alternatives such as Citadel Munitorum Varnish aerosol are faster for batch varnishing, but Stormshield works well as a brush-on option for individual models.
