Product Description

Darkstar Aged Copper is a warm copper metallic with a patinated, oxidised quality - copper that has been exposed to the elements and has begun its transition towards the blue-green verdigris of fully oxidised copper. It sits darker and more muted than fresh copper, with a tonal shift towards earthy orange-brown rather than the bright redness of Polished Copper, giving surfaces an immediately recognisable aged and weathered quality.

Use as the shadow stage in a copper metallic approach - base with Copper or Polished Copper, then apply Aged Copper to recesses and shaded areas before highlighting back up. Also works as a single-coat finish for the deliberately aged copper of Chaos artefacts, ancient machinery in dungeon terrain, Nurgle Daemon Engine corroded pipe work, and any surface where copper should look old and neglected rather than maintained. Pairs with Darkstar washes for additional verdigris tonal depth.
